Venue

Cotswold Water Park Hire, Lake 86, The Cotswold Water Park, Spine Road East, Nr Cirencester, GL7 5TL - just off A419 (between Swindon and Cirencester). A clear, fresh water lake, which is used for swimming on a regular basis, as well as paddle board and canoe hire. There are changing and toilets on-site, hot catering provided and plenty of room for spectator viewing.

Cotswold Big Swim June - 2km

Open to anyone who can cover the distance, Ideal for those wanting an early season tester and great for bridging the gap from one mile to two mile open water swim (minimum age 17 as at 31/12/19). Please note wetsuits are strongly recommended.

Cotswold Big June - 1km

Open to anyone who can cover the distance (minimum age 16 as at 31/12/19). Ideal for those wanting a stepping stone to the Mile swim. Anyone aged under 17 must be a regular club swimmer and their parents must sign a disclaimer/permission form on the morning of the event to confirm they can easily cover the distance. Please note wetsuits are strongly recommended.

Course

The swim will take place in a clear gravel bottom lake over a multi- lap course which will be GPS measured, clearly marked and have a full safety crew. Wetsuits are strongly recommended for these events.

Results/Prizes

All results will be available as you finish and posted on this website Saturday evening after the event. Awards to top three male and female, first 40+, 50+, 60+. and team will be for the first three (male or female) from a team to cross the finish in the 2km event - cumulative positions will count, lowest score wins.
