Venue

Waterland Outdoor Centre, The Cotswold Water Park, Shorncote, Nr Cirencester - two miles from A419 (between Swindon and Cirencester). A clear, fresh water lake, set in a beautifully landscaped area which is used for swimming on a regular basis, as well as boating and windsurfing. There are changing, toilet and shower facilities, onsite catering and plenty of room for spectator viewing.

Cotswold Big Two Mile Swim

Open to anyone who can cover the distance (minimum age 18 as at 31/12/12). Please note wetsuits are strongly recommended.

Cotswold Big One Mile Swim

Open to anyone who can cover the distance (minimum age 17 as at 31/12/12). Please note wetsuits are strongly recommended.

Course

The swim will take place in a clear gravel bottom lake over a multi lap course which will be GPS measured, clearly marked and have a full safety crew. Wetsuits are strongly recommended for these events. There are several wetsuit hire companies on the internet.

Results

All results will be posted on this website Saturday evening after the event.

Accommodation

There is on-site camping available for a small fee per tent/caravan, book online at:www.ukwatersports.co.uk/triathlon.html or call on 01285 861202 to book a pitch. Running water, toilets and showers are available at Waterland building. Even if you have already paid you still need to check in at the Waterland building upon arrival, situated by the second gate on the right 300m after leaving the Spine Road. Please use the outside edge of the field first and leave the gateway area clear.
